| I'm Mark Mortensen, ISA Certified Arborist and owner of Mortensen’s Tree Service. I have been involved in the “green industries” since the early 1970’s and have worked for several companies in many different capacities, including nurseryman, landscaper, landscape design, turf management and arboriculture. | ||
| I formed Mortensen’s Tree Service, Inc. (aka Mortensen's Property Services, Inc.) in 1996 to offer superior tree service in the Denver metro area. It all begins with a proper evaluation of the tree’s condition. This is a face to face meeting, discussing the goals and the clients desired outcome, determining if it realistic and/or, ethical, explaining in detail how we will accomplish those goals, and then following through, with the desired and expected outcome, in a timely and professional manner. | ||
| One thing that separates Mortensen’s Tree Service from the competition is that, I am personally there through every phase -- from answering the telephone, to conducting the evaluation, performing the work, and providing additional advice for the care of the trees. We are very proud of our safety record serving our clients in the Denver metro area for more than a decade, (since 1995) with no personal injuries or property damage. | ||

| An arborist is a specialist in the care of individual trees. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs of trees, and are trained and equipped to provide proper care. | ||
| Pruning or removing trees, especially large trees, can be dangerious work. Tree work should only be done by those trained and equipped to work safely in trees. | ||
| Well cared for trees are attractive and can add considerable value to your property. Poorly maintained trees can be a significant liability. | ||
What is a Certified Arborist? |

| Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and schience of tree care through at least three years experience and have passed a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation's leading experts on tree care. | ||
| Certified arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification. Therefore, they should be up-to-date on the latest techniques in arboriculture. | ||
